Week of January 20, 2003

This has been the week to make you wonder if this is really the deep south!  Two snows in 7 days!  The last one followed by BITTER cold.  This brought out the frost cloth to cover some of our perennials.  It also helps you to locate everyplace where the pipes were not protected well.  So far only one broken pipe.  For 10^o temperatures that is incredible.  In spite of the cold, Ashley did manage to get in a couple days of good transplanting and weeding. We have also been busy seeding, vegetables, herbs and perennials.
